The SCALE CADILLAC STS 2WD 05-11 INNOVATIVE SERIES COILOVER is fully adjustable and customizable to fit each customer's needs.

This coilover suspension upgrade is designed to achieve a perfect balance of street comfort and increased performance. This suspension system allows you to easily adjust your ride height while improving handling performance of your car.

Our patented scaled system design allows easier and more precise adjustment and ensures equal height on each corner. Each shock is equipped with 24 levels of dampening adjustment to fine-tune the valving efficiency.

The Part : CD04-IS coilover shocks are handcrafted and assembled to your specs at SCALE facilities.

This application come as a true coilover over upgrade. Divorced spring configuration will no longer be used, the spring will be mounted on the shock leaving factory spring location empty.

This double-wishbone front configuration does not allow the use of a camber plate, as the shock is not directly connected to the wheel. If additional camber adjustment is needed after lowering your car, some specialized company may offer adjustable control arm.

On this rear multilink configuration, the shock have no direct impact on wheel alignment so the car only has OEM alignment adjustment. If you need more adjustments, you can check if a specialized company offers adjustable control arms.

Our mono-tube shock absorber are using high-quality CNC piston valves, synthetic oil and high-pressure nitrogen gas contained within one tube.

As this application uses a specifically shaped spring, only the regular version is available and the custom spring rate or Swift spring upgrade only applies to the linear spring of this application. The swift upgrade price is for 2 springs only.

I have a 2007 Cadillac STS with the FE1 suspension including rear Nivomat self-leveling shocks. Will the stick springs that come with your kit make up for the self leveling aspect or would you recommend a custom spring rate in the rear so the tail end doesn't sag? Also, with the coil overs will the car maintain it's stock ride or should I expect a stiffer feel? Thank you

Scale Suspension

Hi there,

Great questions – happy to help clarify how this will work on your STS.
1. Rear self-leveling (Nivomat) vs. coilovers
• The Scale kit completely replaces the factory Nivomat self-leveling shocks and springs. Once the coilovers are installed, the car will no longer self-level like it does with the OEM system.
• The standard rear springs that come with the kit are already spec’d to support the car without the self-leveling feature, so under normal driving and normal passenger/cargo weight you shouldn’t see any sagging in the rear.
• If you regularly carry heavy cargo, have a full trunk, or often drive with the back seats loaded, we can go a bit stiffer on the rear spring rate to keep the car more level under load. Just let us know and we can recommend / supply a slightly firmer rear rate to suit that use.
2. Ride quality vs. stock FE1 suspension
• The FE1 setup on your STS is tuned more for comfort, so you can expect the Scale coilovers to feel a bit firmer and more controlled than stock, especially over larger bumps and during cornering.
• That said, the dampers are adjustable, so you can soften the settings to get as close as possible to an OEM-like ride, or firm them up if you want a sportier feel and less body roll. Most customers end up somewhere in the middle – noticeably tighter and more planted than stock, but still perfectly street-friendly.

If you can tell us how you typically use the car (daily comfort, occasional spirited driving, frequent passengers/cargo, etc.), we can confirm whether the standard rear springs are ideal or if we’d suggest a small bump in rear rate for you.

Thanks again for reaching out!
